The Digital Markets Act (DMA) has been a major topic within the EU, this coming as a response to how large platforms have become in our lives.
The main objective of the Digital Markets Act is to establish a fair and balanced environment for all digital companies, regardless of their size. This legislation will set forth clear guidelines, consisting of a set of "dos" and "don'ts," that aim to prevent big platforms from imposing unjust conditions on both businesses and consumers.
Additionally, there will be improved interoperability between messaging platforms. This means that users, whether they are using small or large platforms, will have the ability to exchange messages, share files, and make video calls across different messaging applications.
Join the session to see how these rules are expected to stimulate innovation, encourage growth and enhance competitiveness in the digital market. They will also provide smaller companies and start-ups with an opportunity to compete more effectively against dominant players in the industry.
